13 Creative sandwiches for school lunches

I get bored easily. Children are no different. Sure, cut through phases where all I want is peanut butter and jelly on white bread with the crusts they go. And you can go the the same crazy sandwich every day for months.

But ultimately, if you give time, they will begin to crave different. (Yes, I promise. The key is to be patient and let them decide for themselves when they are ready to expand their repertoire.)

When that day comes, here are the sandwiches to go. Some of them are simple sandwiches basic riffs probably already eating in children. Others are a little more wild and crazy. Try them all. I think you will not regret it.

1 peanut butter and carrots on wholewheat bread - Spread 2 tbsp. grated carrots on creamy peanut butter. You can buy pre-shredded in the produce section of most supermarkets or eat the salad bar to time to store carrots. Optional: Add a pinch of raisins on top.

2 turkey sandwich with bacon mayonnaise - you can buy bacon mayonnaise (compare prices) or just mix 1 c. 2-3 tablespoons finely chopped cooked bacon. prepared mayonnaise. Spread two slices of grilled fermented dough. Garnished with slices of turkey (leftover roast turkey is better) and end with a slice of provolone cheese.

3 Roast beef with orange marmalade - I'm surprised that this kind of sandwich is not more popular, such as meat and sweet flavors go well together. The trick is to go easy on the jam. You want enough to add a little sweetness to add the sandwich. I do not know control. Spread a thin layer of jam (maybe 1 tsp.) In a kaiser roll or grilled Hawaiian bread. 5 cream cheese with dates and bacon - This is a riff on the classic appetizer bacon dates. A thin layer of cream cheese on whole wheat or raisin bread. Top with 1 tbsp. Dates and chopped 1 tablespoon soup. chopped, cooked bacon.

6 Turkey with cheese and chips - Apply a thin layer (about 1 c.) From honey-mustard on white bread or sourdough bread. Garnished with sliced turkey, Swiss cheese and potato chips crushed barbecue.

Peanut butter and fresh strawberries 7 - Spread the white creamy peanut butter, whole wheat or multigrain bread. Top with fresh strawberries cut into slices.

8 slices of tuna with eggs - Apply a thin layer of mayonnaise on two slices of toasted whole wheat bread or multigrain bread. Garnish with drained canned tuna with a slice of bread. Sprinkle 1 tsp. grated carrots to tuna. Layer 3-5 slices of boiled eggs on top. Place the other slice of bread in eggs, mayonnaise side down, and cut it in half.

9 Grilled Chicken Sandwich - Apply a layer of mayonnaise on a solid bread, such as Italian or sourdough bread fresh. Top cooked chicken breast (this is a great way to use leftovers from cooked chicken). Pour 1 tsp. Barbecue sauce on top. Financial statements with a pinch (maybe 1 tsp.) 10 Roast beef with bacon ketchup - you can buy bacon ketchup (compare prices) or make your own by stirring 1 tsp. 2-3 tablespoons chopped bacon menu. Ketchup. On white bread. Top roast beef deli meat or leftover brisket.

11 Salmon Sandwich - Mix 1 tsp. Barbecue sauce 1 c. Mayonnaise. Spread on a slice of whole grain toast. Top cooked salmon or canned drained. A layer of cucumber slices over salmon. Spread 1 c. Cream cheese on the other slice of toasted white bread. Put the pan on the under side of the cucumber cheese, cream.

12 ants on a log Sandwich - Spread a layer of cream crispy or creamy peanut butter on cinnamon raisin bread. Top finely chopped celery and 1 tsp. Raisins.

Mediterranean Tuna Sandwich 13 - Apply a thin layer of mayonnaise on two slices of sourdough bread (1-2 c.). Top with drained canned tuna. Sprinkle 1 tsp. each sliced black olives, finely chopped canned artichoke hearts, finely chopped cucumbers and tomatoes finely chopped sun dried.
