Brown rice with milk Recipe for Crockpot

I like to make the rice in the crock pot, so why not rice pudding? They eliminate the need before, cook brown rice with this rice cooker pudding recipe and the process of long, slow cooking brown rice makes perfectly tender without overcooked. Coconut milk adds richness and a touch (barely perceptible) of coconut flavor to this recipe for slow cooking brown rice milk.

Be sure to use brown rice cereal for this recipe for rice pudding. I like jasmine or brown rice Basmatic.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 4 hours

Total time: 4 hours, 5 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup long grain brown rice (recommended: jasmine or basmati rice)
  • January 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups unsweetened coconut milk
  • 2 c. Cinnamon
  • Cranberries and raisins sweetened 1/2 cup

Preparation:

  1. Mist fountain ceramic pot casserole with cooking spray. Rinse rise.

  2. Mix all ingredients to slow cooker and stir. Cover and cook on high for 3-5 hours or low for 5-7 hours.

Note: The cooking time depends on the size, shape and temperature of the crockpot, and the type of rice used for this recipe.
