Asian beef ribs recipe for the slow cooker

Asian flavors give these beef ribs sweet and sour taste, tastes like it came from an authentic Chinese restaurant. But this recipe only takes five minutes to prepare. The best part is that the kids love these ribs. Tender, juicy meat falls directly to the bone.

Do not worry that the nerves are too sharp. The process of long, slow cooking softens the spices ribs as you are sweet, spicy flavor.

You can even cook the ribs from a frozen state, without thawing. Just turn the pot on high for one hour, then turn to low for the rest of the time. The short ribs are perfect

Serve these ribs with roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes with garlic and asparagus stew.

Preparation: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 8 hours

Total time: 8 hours 5 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 pounds. Reinforcing ribs
  • Half cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • Soy sauce 1/2 cup
  • 2 c. Chili garlic sauce (such as Lee Kum Kee)
  • 4.1 cup water

Preparation:

  1. Place ribs in slow cooker. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic sauce and chili water.

  2. Cover and simmer for 7-9 hours, while once halfway through to ensure all sides of the ribs absorb the sauce.

Important Note: If using frozen ribs, which have not yet thawed, cook, simply turn the slow cooker to high for the first hour of cooking. After reducing to a minimum, and continue with the recipe as directed.
