Smoothies Recipe Add-Ins

It is easy to learn to make smoothies. The recipes are not really necessary - just follow my basic formula for more frozen yogurt fruit liquid and shake as you sparkling fruit smoothies kids go crazy.

But if you want to make things a little jazz, here are some tasty ingredients to your smoothies add them even tastier:

  • Nuts - walnuts, almonds, peanuts are a good choice. Pinch nuts (4.1 mug or less) was added to a smoothie recipe to enhance the flavor and increase the nutritional value of their fruit smoothies. Do you want to add more crazy? Simply mix nuts (not more than 1/2 cup nuts) with the liquid, then add the remaining ingredients in the order given in the recipe smoothie.

  • Seeds - Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are similar to nuts. They add flavor and nutrition to your smoothies. The same rules apply as you add it seeds, nuts to (above).

  • Chocolate Cream - With Nutella, Nocciolata (compare prices) or make your own with my simple recipe Chocolate Nutella. A teaspoon or two is all you need to add sweetness and flavor of the chocolate to fruit smoothies. My cherry chocolate chocolate banana milkshakes and smoothies are excellent examples of how a small hazelnut-chocolate spread can turn a healthy smoothie recipe in a little decadent dessert.

  • Coconut - is soft and adds a tropical flavor to almost any smoothie recipe.

  • Lemon Curd - smooth and rich flavor of lemon, lemon curd would be a great addition to fruit smoothies or shakes make calls antioxidants blueberries lemon yogurt smoothie or lemon juice. A little lemon curd goes a long way - 1-2 teaspoon is sufficient for a smoothie recipe serves 2-4 people.

  • Orange juice concentrate, lemon juice concentrate or concentrated lemon juice - this juice concentrates add a sweet tasting citrus punch in a small amount. They are tastier than the juice itself, but beware - juice concentrates made with artificial sweeteners and corn syrup. Read labels and use them sparingly.

  • Chocolate chips, cinnamon chips or white chocolate chips - as chocolate hazelnut cream, chocolate chips can taste healthy fruit smoothies for dessert. The key is to use a little - 1-2 c. and that the cards are shuffled.

  • Graham crackers or cookies., If I make a smoothie that has the size, texture and taste of a dessert, I will add a cookie or biscuit recipe. My pumpkin smoothies are a good example. While pumpkin pie is not usually made with a graham cracker crust, biscuit pumpkin gives these shakes taste more like cake.

  • Linseed, wheat germ and oats - Add ingredients, fiber, nutrition and texture to your smoothies. One tablespoon is all you need - otherwise the dough may grainy.

Supplemented with all of these smoothie recipes is the key for you to mix your shakes well. You do not want pieces of pumpkin seeds or wheat germ gritty taste when drinking a milkshake.

I use the Vitamix Blender to make my smoothies. I like it that there frozen fruit smash like a dream. But it is not cheap. You should plan to make smoothies often - or use mixer other ways to make it more efficient.

You can also use a blender (you may have to stop and press the fruit through the leaves several times to puree it) or a food processor (I recommend comparing the Cuisinart Duet (prices).
